ALL patients with the following LONG TERM CONDITIONS must have an ANNUAL REVIEW WITH THE PRACTICE NURSE  – please book in via Reception ( some reviews may require blood tests beforehand – please ask Reception)

• DIABETES
• ASTHMA
• COPD
• LEARNING DISABILTY
• CORONARY HEART DISEASE/STROKE
• RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
• The Nursing Team also conduct other checks/procedures . It important to make sure you book with the correct health professional
• NHS Health Checks (Healthcare Assistant)  these are a FREE healthy heart check for anyone aged 40-74 who hasn’t had one on the last 5 years and who does not have an existing long term condition – please book via Reception (you will require blood tests  – please book via Reception)
• Blood Pressure Checks (Healthcare assistant only)
• Cervical Smears (Practice Nurse)
• Childhood Immunisations (Practice Nurse)
• Contraceptive Advice and Checkups (Practice Nurse) Birkenhead-Coil-Implant-Poster-A3-2023
• HRT Checks (Practice Nurse)
• Removal of Stitches (Healthcare assistant)
• Dressings (healthcare assistant IF RELEVANT TO BE DONE IN PRACTICE  – please ask Reception)
• Immunisations – (check with Reception as varies depending on vaccination)

BLOOD TESTS

A blood test service is available at DEVANEY MEDICAL CENTRE (for Devaney Medical Centre patients only) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

THE SERVICE THAT IS AVAILABLE AT DEVANEY MEDICAL CENTRE IS FOR PREBOOKED APPOINTMENTS ONLY
